We are on our way home from spending time with David and Linda in North Carolina, so I'm sitting in our hotel room writing. My heart is heavy with sadness. We received a phone call that once again changed "life" for the Elms Family. My husband's brother, Royce suddenly passed away Saturday evening. We are all reeling from the shock of losing such a great brother, friend, encourager, and preacher of the gospel!
Many friends have called or texted this evening. You have brought strength to our hearts. We know God is in control and we totally trust Him. Thank you for your continued prayers for the family. We appreciate you and love you more than you know!

"Going Home" Services Scheduled for Tim Foster
This week our hearts were saddened to hear about Tim Foster being taken from us so unexpectedly. Tim is the "twin brother" to Pastor Tom Foster of Dallas, TX. His brother Mark pastors in West Monroe, and his sister Debbie lives in California. She is married to Pastor Steve Saiz. The parents of these great "kids" is Rev. and Mrs. Fred Foster of West Monroe, Louisiana. There are no words to explain the feeling of "loss" during this time! I want to say to all of Tim's family that you are in the prayers of your friends. We are hurting with you during this time.
I have taken the following schedule for Tim's "going home services" from Debbie Saiz blog.
Dear Lord, my heart has been SO sad for my friends since hearing about Tim's death. Please wrap your arms of love and comfort around them. We were not expecting this "turn of events" at this time in life, but you will fill the void in our hearts. Thank you for being close to all of us at this time. In Jesus Name.....Amen.

June 21, 2000 - the day my world changed
It is fifty-three minutes passed June 21. This day has come and gone, but I have been thinking about my brother all day. Eight years ago on June 21, Keith left this world and all of his family and friends. I am privileged that today we have been with Steve and Karen Wehrle who "remembered" with me. They were great friends of Keith's and we enjoyed talking about him. I miss Keith and all the joy he brought to my life. I loved to hear him sing...no one can sing like him. I loved the twinkle in his eye when he thought of something funny. I loved the stories he told. I loved his laugh....we had a lot of them, together. I loved his warmth and love for his family and friends. I loved his big arms wrapped around me in a "bear hug". I loved hearing him say to me, "Hello Beautiful"! I just loved HIM! No, I didn't forget about him today, I enjoyed his "life" once again with friends. I just couldn't go to sleep without writing about my brother, my friend.
