Scarlet and Savanna absolutely little "sweethearts"! They love to pose for pictures! 
What can I say? I just keep repeating myself when I say, "She's beautiful!" 
Just a "punkin' eater"! What a SMILE! Makes me want to pinch her little cheeks.
Alayna JOY! You can see by the SMILE why I say she is "sunshine" to our hearts!
There is an old song the Rambo's use to sing that said, "I thank God He found me just in time." This song says the sentiment of several ladies that was at the revival. They needed God to intervene in situations and "felt" like they were just about to go under, but in the Ladies Revival God touched them and gave them renewed strength! He always knows when to "show up" in our situations! This year I used Kassie Dutton
to lead praise and worship in a couple of services and she did an incredible job! Kassie is now our Music Director. She took Karla's place when they moved to Phlugerville, TX. and she is doing a great job! Also, I had Felicia Frazier lead a service and she likewise did awesome! I was so proud of them both! I've known they had the talent and anointing down deep inside, so I pushed them to step out of their "comfort zone" and it was well worth it! I even got Mandy
to give announcements! If you know Mandy very well you know she does not like being up front, but she always does a great job when she is called on to do ANYTHING! I was so happy Brenda 
It was a lot of fun getting to visit with everyone for awhile after church. The kids were all at home "tucked in" for the night, so the ladies could relax and have fun. I just have to sum it all up by saying, GOD IS GOOD! He does GREAT things, and we're looking forward to another wonderful Ladies Revival in the future.
Well, as you can see Jonathan is starting Scarlet out young! We went to eat with them the other day in Eastland and Scarlet was dressed in this outfit. She had the attention of EVERY hunter in the place! 
Friday morning Wendell received a call from Brenda and she said, "Dad, there are three little girls down here who are REALLY lonely. Could you and Mom come down to see us?" Well, you KNOW we had to go! We had been missing them also, so we took off to Ranger for a short, sweet visit. It's always nice being there. We always get so relaxed! I definitely try to get all the loving from Scarlet and Savanna that they will give away. It helps the "heart" not get too lonely when we are away from them. 
and watching her as she worships the Lord! You would just have to see it for yourself! They will be returning home today. Also, our "new baby" is getting closer to arriving.
We are looking forward to January when "it" will make it's entrance into this world. The reason I say "it" is because Andrew and Mandy have decided to keep us all in suspense until that day. They have an envelope in their possession that we are calling the "mystery envelope", because the sonogram tech wrote the "gender" of the baby on a piece of paper, placed it in the envelope, and SEALED it! Can you believe it! Jeanetta, Mandy's mother tried to bribe them into opening it, and I joined in, but to no avail, and to think it was MY SONS IDEA! I've learned of how STUBBORN he really can be! LOL!!
I was told tonight by Mandy that Darrell, her father said that my blog wasn't worth looking at, because there was only two pictures of Alayna on it. LOL!! So, Darrell this is for you! We sure do have a beautiful GRAND-daughter, don't we? She brings so much JOY to all of our lives! Her mother and father definitely named her right when they named her Alayna "JOY"!! Of course, you and Jeanetta named Mandy right, also...Amanda "JOY"! Thank you for raising such a lovely daughter for our son. We love ya'll!
I love to see friends when they see each other after they have been away from each other for awhile. Karla and Sharon have been friends for a long time.
they have laughed, laughed and laughed some more through life. They sometimes get in their own world and noone knows what they are laughing about, but you catch yourself laughing, too!!
Yesterday was a wonderful day at our church! We had "Fellowship Sunday"!. It's always fun getting together after our Sunday Morning Worship Service to eat, talk, play games! It's a little taste of heaven. After all, we are going to enjoy being together for eternity! By the looks on the faces of everyone you can see they are happy and contented, enjoying each others company.
I remember as a child getting to play at the church while the adults were working, cleaning, and making peanut brittle, or when we had a church picnic, playing until it seemed "we couldn't play anymore" and we went home so happy and secure because we had so many friends at church. Getting to be at the church with my friends was the highlight of the week, and it still is! I LOVE being with my friends and family! 
We were blessed this Sunday to have Keith and Carla Clark with us. They are pastoring a growing Home Missions church in Quitman, TX and we are so proud of the work they are doing for the Kingdom of God. We enjoyed a meal with them on Saturday afternoon just talking about "old times" and the work of the Lord. They are great people. Then we received a call on Saturday afternoon from Gene and Karla saying they were coming up Sunday afternoon from Pflugerville, TX since the boys were out of school on Monday. The only problem was that they wanted to see everyone at the church, and we were not having a Sunday evening service, so Wendell made a special announcement telling the church they were coming, so if they wanted to come back to the church around 6 p.m they could, and we would just visit some more. Needless to say we had a bunch of people there to greet them! It was so much fun just seeing all the happy faces. Of course, Cameron had to show
James Cain his new bass and jammed a little bit with him. Someone asked where Sis. Karla was and I said, "You hear music don't you? I am sure she is in the church where the music is coming from!" Sure enough, I went and looked and she was in the middle of it all!
We were all pleasantly surprised to see Titus Lindsay back from Arkansas. We have missed him very much! Lynn was just THRILLED to have him home!! As you can tell we had a GREAT DAY! 
It was good seeing Chad again. He's such a great guy! He spent most of his time out having fun with his friends. Even "Cookie" got to make the trip! LOL!
Finally, I quit and continued getting ready to leave for church and about 10 minutes later I realized I was feeling so much better! Laughter really does work! Thank the Lord for a husband that makes me laugh! Anyway, we got to church, had worship, and I gave an announcement about our Ladies Revival coming up and then was told by Andrew to go sit in HIS chair! I had no idea what was happening, and was at a loss. Wendell looked at me and asked, "What are you doing?" I said, "Andrew told me to come sit here!" Andrew then turned around and told his Dad, "You can put your Bible Study away! You won't have to work as hard next week!" LOL!!! The look on Wendell's face was priceless!
He then asked several of the saints to come to the platform and they were called on to "give appreciation" to the Pastor! They were all so sweet and you could feel the love they had for us. Then, Andrew spoke about being raised in the "Pastor's home" and how he had prayed that he can be just "like his Dad". Well, needless to say, it was very touching to all. Andrew read a couple of emails. One from Bro. Kenny Frazier, who had to be out of town last night. Anyone who has been a part of Life Tabernacle remembers over the years of the "Roses are red, violets are blue" poems Bro. Kenny has written. This was another one of his "classics". Andrew then read a touching email from Bro. Gene Holley, Jr. who was our Assistant Pastor for many years. Bro. Gene and Sis. Karla have moved to Pflugerville, TX and are now pastoring their own church. http://www.newlifephlugerville.org They are doing a wonderful work for the Lord. This was their first Pastor Appreciation service they've missed in 18 years of being part of the ministerial leadership of the church. His kind words meant so much to us. Then Wendell was presented with a "guided pheasant hunt" from the church.
He will be going with Andrew, Jonathan, and Royce. They are looking forward to being together. I was then presented with a gift certificate to a spa here in town, of which I am sure I will enjoy thoroughly, and the Ladies of Life are coming to clean my house from top to bottom! "Whatever I want them to do" is what they told me.
They are so sweet to do this for me! We then were ushered to the Fellowship Hall for a nice reception and lots of hugs from our wonderful saints.
We received many cards of appreciation, and a DVD from the young people. What an incredible church!! The saints of Life Tabernacle have always shown us appreciation, love, loyalty, and support. God will have a special place for them in Heaven! We will definitely be meeting them "in front of the throne"!
They were a little sheepish
the first few doors then they "caught on" to what happened when they said those magical words, "trick or treat". Needless to say they came home with a lot of candy! 
Scarlett our "punkin' eater" got in on the fun, too! This year Savanna and Scarlet did
not get to come, so Alayna went with her parents, Andrew and Mandy. She was "Candy Corn"! I've been thinking....life can be so stressful, especially if you worry about all the "issues" that have been thrown at us in the recent years. I remember going "trick or treating" when I was a child. Parents walked with us making sure the "goblins" didn't get us. They even told us scary stories when they thought we were old enough to "enjoy" them. All of the memories of Halloween Parties are forever etched in my mind, and I didn't grow up to be a "witch"! Let's just enjoy life and have FUN with our kids. They will soon be living "real life" and we'll wish we had spent more time playing "make-believe".
