It has begun...My favorite time of the year! This is the time when the Texas District is buzzing with activity. Texas Women's Conference has already "come and gone", and we had a fantastic time! I've been occupied with preparing to speak at a Ladies Tea in Gladewater, our fifth granddaughter being born, AND speaking at the conference, so I haven't been taking any time to blog. I've had a few people ask me WHEN I am going to blog again, so I think I better get busy! I have so much to blog about and feel a little overwhelmed with the task! Please be patient with me. I will do my best to blog about everything.
I hope you are all doing well. I'm doing great! This day is beautiful! I have much to thank God for...so many wonderful blessings...(yes, I am singing). I enjoy waking up to the birds singing, lawns being mowed, and all the beautiful sounds of spring. I am definitely blessed! My life is beautiful, because God is in it! I can't imagine what it would be like without Him.
I will be back to blog a little later, hopefully today/tonight. I've got to run for now. Remember...THIS is the day the LORD has made...REJOICE!

Whew...I'm Tired...but HAPPY
As I've said many times since moving to Lufkin...this time of year is one of my favorite times. A lot is happening and we get to be involved in "building the kingdom of God".
MAP was wonderful this weekend. The Lord visited with us and touched us through the ministry of the Word and worship. It's always good to know His approval is on you and the effort that is put forth for meetings such as MAP.
It has been cold and rainy today. Snow has fallen in many places, but we haven't seen any. I don't think it will be coming our way, so we will just enjoy the quiet rain, cold atmosphere, and the FIRE in the fireplace. I love hearing the crackling of the wood, and feeling the warmth that's coming across the room to my recliner as I read, write, and enjoy resting this evening.
I've been on Facebook for a few minutes tonight and have loved seeing the pictures of the new fallen snow. I also love reading comments of friends telling about their services today, and how God did some great things at their church. To hear great reports makes my heart happy! I love hearing that God has filled someone else with His spirit, and someone got a touch they had been longing for. I love how God works on a "personal level". He knows exactly the needs of His people everywhere and performs miracles in our midst. "Thank you Lord, for loving us the way you do! Your mercy endures forever!"
I hope you all have a wonderful Monday. It's another day to serve the Lord with GLADNESS! Walk into your work place with JOY in your heart, a spring in your step, and a SMILE on your face. Let the world know He LIVES and there's still HOPE!

"Super Blessing"
I received two coupons in the mail this week for "Buy One Meal, Get One Free" at Logan's and it was just for Super Bowl Sunday. I saved both of them so I could share with someone, just in case we were to have dinner with some friends. I would have been happy to share with them.
Anyway, Wendell and I went to eat by ourselves today, so I told him I was going to find someone in the restaurant that I could give the other coupon to. We were welcomed by the hostess as we walked in, and we went to our table. Before I sat down I got both of the coupons out of my purse - one for us and the other one to "give away". I told Wendell I would be back then walked around looking at the people who were there. I spotted what looked to be a "single Mother, her two children and a Grandmother". I walked up to the mother, spoke to her, and noticing she was putting the menu down I laid the coupon on her menu and asked her if she had received one of these coupons. She said that she had not, so I told her I wanted her to have this one. She smiled and said thank you. That's all I did! I turned and went to our table and sat down.
We were ordering our meal when I saw the grandmother coming to our table, and this is what she said. "I just wanted to come and say thank you for that. Just before you walked up to the table the little girl said to her Mother that she would like to have a GOOD meal tonight!" The mother looked at her daughter and answered her with, "Well, Sug(ar) I just can't do that tonight." The grandmother then proceeded to say, "Then you walked up and gave her that coupon. I just wanted to come and tell you. Thank You!"
Tears filled my eyes as she walked away. It wasn't me that just "wanted to share", but God had a plan to bless someone I didn't even know. My heart is overwhelmed with how much God loves us ALL!
